Greg Gallagher

Greg Gallagher recently retired from the practice of law. He spent his entire career at Kirkland & Ellis LLP in Chicago, focusing on the tax aspects of bankruptcies and private equity transactions.

Greg grew up in central Illinois, attending high school in Peoria, where he first fell in love with live theatre while doing set construction and working as back-stage crew. He received his undergraduate and law degree from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana and continues to be a die hard fan of the Fighting Illini athletic teams.

Greg and his wife Katie raised their two boys in the western suburbs of Chicago. After becoming empty-nesters and retirees, they moved to Rolling Prairie and are now enjoying the quiet country life. Greg spends his free time playing pickleball, working in the woods and helping with set construction at the Dunes Summer Theatre.
